Commission A sum of money or a percentage paid to a broker， agent or salesman for providing services.
Initial Public Offering / IPO A company's first offer to sell its' shares to the public.
Oversubscribed A situation where the overall investor demand for a new share issue exceeds the actual supply of shares available.
Prorated The settling of an oversubscribed share issue， where the shares are distributed to investors on a proportional basis.
Rights Offer A further share issue in which the shares are only offered to existing shareholders. Can only be carried out after an IPO.
